A Case of Slipped Femoral Capital Epiphysis

Abstract
Slipped femoral capital epiphysis, so called adolescent coxa vara, epiphyseal coxa vara, epiphyseolisthesis, was first described by Ambrose Pare in 1572.
This disease is common in rapid growing boy and it reveals posteroinferior displacement of femoral head in most-cases.
Although there are many contradictory explanations, its cause is uncertain.
The authors here report a case of slipped femoral capital epiphysis in a 14 year old boy that was treated by gentle manipulation and Knowles pin fixation.
